1. Who we are
MusicProdAI ("we", "us", "our") is a music production feedback tool available at musicprod.ai. We are operated as an independent product. If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at support@musicprod.ai.
2. What information we collect
We collect the following information when you use MusicProdAI: Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. Audio files: When you upload a track for analysis, we process the audio file in your browser to extract technical measurements (loudness, frequency data, stereo width). We do not store your audio files on our servers. The file is processed locally in your browser and the measurements are sent to our AI analysis service. Usage data: We track how many analyses you have performed in a given week to enforce free plan limits. We store a count of analyses per user in our database. Payment information: If you subscribe to Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe provides us with a customer ID and subscription status only.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to: - Provide the MusicProdAI service and deliver AI-generated feedback on your tracks - Manage your account and authenticate you when you log in - Enforce usage limits on the free plan - Process your subscription payments via Stripe - Respond to support requests We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate MusicProdAI: Supabase: We use Supabase to store your account information, usage data and subscription status. Supabase is hosted on AWS infrastructure. Anthropic: When you run an analysis, your track measurements and the information you provide (genre, DAW, question) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate feedback. No audio files are sent — only the numerical measurements extracted in your browser. Stripe: If you subscribe to Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment details. Vercel: Our backend API is hosted on Vercel. Requests to our analysis endpoint pass through Vercel's infrastructure.
5. Data storage and security
Your account data is stored in Supabase's database, which is secured with row-level security policies. This means each user can only access their own data. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. Passwords are hashed by Supabase and never stored in plain text. We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your data within 30 days.
6. Your audio files
We want to be clear about how your audio files are handled: Your audio file is processed entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. The file itself is never uploaded to our servers. Only the technical measurements extracted from your file (RMS loudness, peak level, frequency data, stereo width, duration) are sent to our backend for AI analysis. We do not store, share or have access to your actual music files.
7. Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data: Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Correction: You can ask us to correct inaccurate data. Deletion: You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data. Portability: You can request your data in a portable format. 8. Cookies
We use minimal cookies. Supabase uses a session cookie to keep you logged in between visits. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Children's privacy
MusicProdAI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
